Raffles Marina Singapore

Asia’s Premier Marina & Country Club

Located prominently just next to the Tuas checkpoint at the bridge crossing into Malaysia, Raffles Marina is Singapore’s first international marina with an unrivalled range of marina facilities. Whatever your fancy may be, you can choose to relax by the landscaped resort pool or hot spa, pump iron in the large gymnasium that boasts the latest equipment, sweat it our in our aerobics room, plan tennis, try your hand in the game room with some of the more entertaining video games today, take a few minutes to bowl a few frames in our 8 lane bowling center or simply relax by the pool and watch stunning sunsets.

And, when it comes to food and beverage, we have left nothing to chance either. Whether it is dining in the Chinese Specialties Restaurant where we offer you the finest selection of Chinese cuisine and seafood at the Captain’s Table, or at the Marina Bistro, you’ll be assured of the best catches of the day. Our al fresco Marina Bistro is the ultimate dining experience - splendid fare while overlooking the waterfront and the marina beyond. But if drink is your fancy, why not herald your way to the lively Discovery Pub where a band entertains almost every day of the week.

The course will be located directly off the Raffles Marina. The conditions are ideal for Hobie Tigers…smooth water and good winds. The winds traditionally prevail from the North/Northeast between 10-14 knots in February. Mornings breezes are 6-10 increasing around noon to 10-14 knots. With the winds coming offshore or down the Jehore Straits the water remains quite calm even in stronger wind conditions. The course area is approximately 4 miles long and 2-2.5 miles wide located just south of the Malaysian Causeway. There is literally no boat traffic other than a boat leaving the marina once in a while which makes for a very smooth sailing venue.

Being located only 1 degree from the equator the water is extremely warm as is the air temperature. It is also quite humid with thundershowers in the late afternoons on many days. Please click on our weather link for a complete weather picture.

Raffles Marina will make a spectator boat available to all interested in going on-course to watch the World Championships.
