When reservations are made - what is the deposit?
The Barcelo policy is payment in full upon the making of your reservations. As you can see by the website, it is a cost saving to book your reservations before October 31, but definitely you MUST reserve before November 30. This is a very popular tourist destination, and this is the reason for the early bookings and payment plans. In reality, won’t it be nice to have most of your trip paid for upon arrival?

Why do I get an amount charged to my account that is different from the amount that I charge on my credit card?
That is because any business operating in a given country (i.e. Mexico) must charge the amount of a business transaction (i.e. your reservation) in the country's currency (i.e. pesos). Then, the card issuer (i.e. AMEX, VISA) will get charged and again convert the amount charged (i.e. the amount in pesos) to the country where the business issuing the card is registered, and that implies a second conversion (i.e. pesos to dollars). Since two business often use different exchange rates, this will very likely result in a slight difference between the amount "charged to your credit card" and the amount actually charged to your account.

What is the Barcelo Refund Policy?

If you need to cancel your reservation, as long as it is within 7 days of your arrival your money will be refunded 100%.

Can I request a specific room?

Room assignments will be made upon arrival to the resort. You may specify a king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds. The buildings we have reserved for the event are already the closest ones to the sailing venue. Every room is spectacular, so you won’t be disappointed.

Where can I obtain additional Hotel Information?

There are many web sites with information on the Barcelo Resort. You may use any search engine in the internet and many sites will come up. You may view pictures, traveler reviews and information on the area.
